Heather+Steve

It is such a special treat to see a friend get married. It's another special treat to help plan and be a part of the wedding. Put the two together and you've got the recipe for a truly SPECIAL day. Words are failing me here in trying to express how blessed I felt to be a part of this sweet celebration.

Heather and Steve wanted to incorporate rainbows, hearts, funk and a touch of vintage flare in their wedding celebration. So I took their ideas and added my special touch to make their wedding day exactly how they envisioned it. The majority of the items were handcrafted and painted, which made it that more special. The flowers were bought from a local farm in town and assembled by Heather's bridesmaid.  It was an absolute DIY wedding, which seems to be the way to do it when you are surrounded by so many talented friends and family. We hung framed pictures along with candle lit mason jars in a tree in remembrance of Heather and Steve's family members. It added a beautiful touch to their wedding.

Here are some snippets of the details via One Love Photo, a husband and wife team. The wedding took place on Whidbey Island, WA on the plush Jenne Farm. The weather was absolutely gorgeous considering it rained that morning.

These paper cranes were hand folded by Meia makeacrane.press.com Heather, Steve, Pam (Heather's mom), Tom (Heather's step-dad) and myself assembled and strung them on fishing lines. Let me tell ya...they were A LOT of work and Pam almost gave up. lol We had to put a lot of thought and planning into stringing them, transporting them, and displaying them without them getting tangled up. As you can see, the outcome was absolutely stunning! It made the long nights and frustrations so worth it.

Guests got to sign Jenga blocks with sweet messages for Steve and Heather. In the background, you see the dedication tree in remembrance of Heather and Steve's family members. They were definitely thought of and there in spirit.

Heather and Steve are always hosting game nights at their house. It was only appropriate to use Jenga blocks as an alternate way for their guests to leave special notes to them. That way, they will always have a special connection with their family and friends and be reminded of their wedding day while playing JENGA!

The entire day was seamless and beautiful. Heather and Steve couldn't have asked for a more fun, special, and intimate wedding. Steve and Heather took dance lessons for their first dance and blew all the guests away. They incorporated a three song remix; it was fantastic!!! Heather also had been taking ukulele lessons (Steve had no idea) and surprised Steve with a beautiful performance. All the guests enjoyed themselves and danced the night away! The entire day was AMAZING! It was a pleasure helping and being a part of now, MR. and MRS. COSKIE'S  wedding celebration!
